Our Wedding Reminder Guide



One year before your wedding

First things first! Set the date with your ceremony site and minister, priest or Justice of the Peace.  Discuss your plans with the person who will perform your ceremony.  Once you have this set, choose your Reception venue and Book the date!  Your Coordinator will have ideas to help guide you with the details and timeline.  Determine what you need and want to make your event a success.

Start contacting vendors (especially your Coordinator, Photographer & DJ) and set up meetings  to narrow down your choices.

             

                                                     Six months before the wedding
Choose your rings if you have not already done so and start planning the honeymoon.  Order wedding invitations, save the date notifications, and begin a wedding registry with shops you love.  Decide on your vendors and meet with them about color scheme and timelines.  Select your Photographer, Videographer, Florist, DJ, Master of Ceremonies, Cake Designer, Linen, Hair & make up artist and Limousine company/driver.



                                                 Three months before the wedding
Make sure you have all the pre-marriage documents and certificates.  Finalize the guest list and send invitations.  Remember to keep track of RSVPs.  Arrange accommodations or provide options for out-of-town guests.  Finalize details on the  cake, photographer, videographer and florist.  Work with your DJ/Master of Ceremonies on song selections and reception events.  Order party favors and gift baskets if needed.



                                                        A month before the wedding
Set an appointment with your Wedding Planner to finalize details and complete the menu.  Organize final fittings for the wedding party dresses and tuxedos.  Plan the ceremony rehearsal and the dinner rehearsal.  Finalize honeymoon details including passports, tickets, visas and immunizations.  Assign someone to your party favors and registration table if needed.



                                                                   Two weeks to go
Make the final calls to guests which have not responded via RSVP.  Let your Coordinator (and everyone else) know your approximate guest count.  Do one last check with all your vendors.  Remind your cake vendor to provide a box for your top cake.



                                                       Three days before the big day
Final guest count and final payment is due to your Catering Manager/Coordinator.
Perhaps this is the time to pamper yourself with a manicure, pedicure and a message.  Take a relaxing bath early the night before and call it a night.​

Relax, treat yourself to a tasty breakfast, enjoy the time with your hair and make up artist, give yourself plenty of time so you never feel rushed. Have a beautiful day.​
